International Journal of Modern Education Studies

The International Journal of Modern Education Studies publishes original research and theoretical articles in the field of educational sciences. The journal publishes manuscripts that have direct relevance to the principles of learning and teaching, the significance of quality education, the role of technology in education, application of psychological concepts to education, student health and wellness, the importance of curriculum development and sociology of education. The journal also welcomes contributions from closely related research areas such as: educational leadership, creative pedagogy, special education, educational policy, educational management, language education, career planning and educational finance etc.

The IJONMES welcomes any papers on educational sciences: original theoretical works, literature reviews, research reports, social issues, psychological issues, curricula, learning environments, research in an educational context, book reviews, and review articles.

Publication Ethics Statement:

The International Journal of Modern Education Studies (IJONMES) is a non-profit peer-reviewed scholarly and solely published on the web and in a digital format. It is published semi-annual in June and December.

IJONMES publishes original theoretical studies, research reports, social issues, psychological issues, curriculum, learning environments, educational research, book reviews and review articles in the field of educational sciences.

It is mandatory to follow the standards of required ethical behavior for all parties (authors, editorial board, and reviewers ) taking part in the process publishing.

To guarantee high ethical standards, IJONMES has developed some international standarts for authors, editorial board, and reviewers based, in large part, on the guidelines and standards developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

IJONMES expects authors, editorial board, and reviewers to commit to these standards.

International Standards for Authors:

Authors are the individuals or groups that create an idea or develop the publication.
Authors should guarantee that they have participated in creating the manuscript as presented and that they have not violated any other author’s legal rights (eg, copyright) in the process.
Authors must have made a significant contribution to the work and are responsible for the work and its published form.
Acknowledgements may be used by the authors to denote contributions to the work that do not meet the criteria of Authorship.
Author(s) warrant that the manuscript is their own, original work and that it has neither been published previously nor is currently being considered for publication elsewhere.
Authors provide appropriate citations of the sources of ideas and/or words in the article that are not their own.
All sources of financial support for the research should also be disclosed in the manuscript.
There should should at least one corresponding author and a corresponding author must be willing to fulfil the obligations as stipulated by IJONMES (eg, respond promptly to editorial queries, act as correspondent for future enquiries about the integrity of the work).
Where the manuscript reports on commercial software, hardware, or other products, authors must include a declaration at the beginning of the manuscript in which they must either state that no conflict of interest exists or describe the nature of any potential conflict.
Republishing an article previously published in another language in English is not accepted.
Republishing an article published in @IJONMES in another language in a different journal is acceptable with permission from @IJONMES.
When an author sees a material inaccuracy in his or her published work, it is the responsibility of the author to immediately notify the journal editor and cooperate with the editor to correct it. In such a case, the article can be removed from publication as the last step.
The authors’ names should be listed on the article in order of their contribution to the article, and all authors take responsibility for their own contributions.
The corresponding author or authors must ensure that no inappropriate co-authors are included on the article, and that all listed co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the article and agreed to its publication.


International Standards for Reviewers:

Peer reviewers play a central and critical part in the peer review process and at least two reviewers should review a manuscript. A clear communication between IJONMES and the reviewers is essential to facilitate consistent, fair and timely review.
The reviewer candidates should provide IJONMES with personal and professional information that is accurate and a fair representation of their expertise, including verifiable and accurate contact information.
The names of the peer reviewers are published in all issues. Those who will be reviewers at @IJONMES agree to have their names written in the journal issues.
The blinded copy of the manuscripts are sent to the reviewers and editors mediate all interactions between reviewers and authors.
If reviewers are unsure of a potential competitive interest that could hinder their review, they should raise it. Conflicting interests can be personal, financial, intellectual, professional, political or religious in nature.
Reviewers do not interact with one another openly.
The International Journal of Modern Education Studies (IJONMES)’s reviewers perform work for the journal on a volunteer basis and they are not paid as all journal teams do their work on volunteer basis.
Articles are submitted to the reviewers without the name of the author or institution. However, if the reviewer still guessed who the author was, and if the reviewers were employed at the same institution as any of the authors or have been recent (eg, within the past 3 years) mentors, mentees, close collaborators or joint grant holders, they should not agree to review.
The reviewers should respond to an invitation to peer review within a reasonable time frame.
Reviewers should respond to the peer review invitation within the reasonable timeframe specified in the editor's email message and reviewers are free to decline invitations to review particular manuscripts at their discretion. They can accept or decline the invitation using the ready texts on the IJONMES portal.
Reviewers who have accepted manuscript assignments are normally expected to submit their reviews within one month. If reviewers feel qualified to judge a particular manuscript, they should agree to review only if they are able to return a review within the proposed or mutually agreed time frame.
They should always inform IJONMES promptly if their circumstances change and they cannot fulfil their original agreement or if you require an extension.
Privileged information or ideas obtained by reviewers through the peer review process must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage.
Reviewers should respect the confidentiality of the peer review process and refrain from using information obtained during the peer review process for your own or another’s advantage, or to disadvantage or discredit others.
The reviewers are encouraged to express their views clearly, explaining and justifying all recommendations made. They should always attempt to provide detailed and constructive feedback to assist the author(s) in improving their work, even if the manuscript is, in their opinion, not publishable.
It is important to remain unbiased by considerations related to the nationality, religious or political beliefs, gender or other characteristics of the authors, origins of a manuscript or by commercial considerations. If reviewers discover a competing interest that might prevent you from providing a fair and unbiased review, they notify the editor.
Reviewers should notify the editor as soon as possible if they find them do not have the necessary expertise to assess the relevant aspects of a manuscript so as not to unduly delay the review process.
If reviewers come across any irregularities with respect to research and publication ethics they should let the journal editor know.
Reviewers should follow IJONMES instructions for writing and posting their review. They should be specific in their critique, and provide supporting evidence with appropriate references to substantiate general statements, to help editors in their evaluation.
Reviewers should provide confidential comments to the editor as well as comments to be read by the author and recommendation to accept/revise/reject should be provided.
Reviewers should try to accommodate requests from journals to review revisions or resubmissions of manuscripts they have reviewed previously.


International Standards for Editorial Board:

Editorial Boards should serve the research community by providing efficient, robust and constructive handling of papers.
The editorial board is responsible for making the decision to publish any issues of IJONMES and for recruiting the papers to be published. The editorial board may select a guest editor(s) for a thematic issue if desired.
The name of the editorial board members are published in all issues. Those who will be the editorial board members at @IJONMES agree to have their names written in the journal issues.
Editorial board members should provide a list of their potential conflicts of interest (CoI’s). The list should include the potential board member’s other commitments and roles involving journals, books, and societies that produce publications (eg, membership of publication oversight committees).
If one of the editorial board member is a coauthor on a paper, he or she should not be not involved in making a decision on a paper, and a disclosure statement to that effect appears in the disclosure section of the published article.
Information pertaining manuscripts are kept confidential by the editorial board.
The editors evaluates the manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to the race, color, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the author(s).
The Editorial Board should strive to constantly improve IONMES’ publication quality.
The Editorial Board insures that the papers published are consistent with the editorial mission.
The primary responsibility of our Editorial Board Members is to manage the peer review process and they are responsible for the scientific quality of the manuscripts that they handle.

No submission fee is required for manuscripts.IJONMES is a non-profit journal and publication is completely free. No publication fee is charged for articles sent to IJONMES.
